Kaffee und Kuchen: Petit Café
I love that they choose to do one cake really well, and because they are making them and selling pieces continuously, its guaranteed to be fresh and warm and made with good quality fruit and butter. The cold cream and some strong coffee cutting through the richness of the cake = perfection. Plus the white table clothes on dark wooden furniture and floral slightly chipped porcelain round off the perfect afternoon Kaffee und Kuchen.

Gelato Series: Portugal
There’s something about Portugal that makes the Gelato here SO GOOD.
Saint: Snob in Jozzie approved… with (very few) pointers on how it could have been better duh ;)
It is a really great experience for any snob. Metropolitan, high quality and intentional food. Not overloaded with the same repeated flavours as I have been experiencing and getting tired of at most of the “finer” Cape Town restaurants.

Our Local: Schucks this was a good Shakshouka
Super delicious & aesthetic - I felt like I was living my life in my 20s the right way, having it together due solely to the fact that I was having brunch at this Kloof street spot.

Bao Down: Fusion, American-Asian style dishes.
Vital to have a crispy drink in hand while enjoying their decadent and rich Baos. However, does it live up to the hype?

Plants by Deliciously Ella: The best vegan meal at a plant-based restaurant I’ve had in years!
Deliciously Ella deli was rebranded as Plants by DE this year and the result is magnificent. I DID NOT miss the meat, dairy, butter, fish or honey!

Dinner date @ Zest: Really good tasting menu. And very reasonably priced.
Slightly bare reviews when it’s a dinner date… I’m busy being fascinating and making glorious conversations (featuring very blurry photos). *Hinge/Tinder/Bumble sponsorship pending

Lunch date @ Homespun At The Andros
Delightfully delicious dumplings and other special dishes. A relaxed fine dining experience in the southern suburbs.

Dinner date @ Yu: Hotely-y but adequate
This is a very bare review as it was a date (; so treat it as a skim read (because typically everyone reads all my reviews in great detail - shout out to my mum and dad!)

South China Dim Sum: Most authentic & addictive dim-sum
I feel trendy and metropolitan and Asian in this hole in the wall casual but authentic Dim Sum restaurant.

Kleinsky’s Delicatessen: Best bagels in Seapoint
An authentic New York style deli that makes me want to marry into a Jewish family.

Bistro1682 @ Steenberg: Tapas
A quick nibble on Potstickers, Bao buns and Patatas Bravas

Il Leone: I had a late night pasta snack
Satisfying & saucy.

Bouchon Bistro: Fresh, yummy & rich food that feels just-a-bit boujie.
Cozy and intimate, with a wine-y feel. This wine bar and bistro is a must if you enjoy a cellar setting with a focus on both the wine and food.

Cucina: Unfortunately a “meh”meal with a “bleh” ending
My fellow snobs. Bad. So. Bad. I am talking about the tiramisu which was recommended to us and we were told was delicious but in fact, turned out to be the worst tiramisu I have ever tried. My dining companion was a dear friend of mine who is notoriously unfussy. And in her own words: “I’m not even a snob and I don’t want to touch this”
Thali: Transported to balmy India for an evening
Aromatic, hot, spicy deliciousness that makes you want to come back while you’re eating there.

Obi: Sushi and Soba. I’m Obi-sessed.
Incredible sushi and noodle dishes made with super fresh fish and filling your mouth and brain with umami.

Dahlia on Regent: Noodles inspired by China's Shaanxi Province
A place to love. I could feel the passion of the place, the staff were friendly and every customer inside seemed very satisfied with their meals and overall experiences.

Foxcroft: Delicious & high quality food
One of my favorite accessible fine dining experiences in the Southern Suburbs.

La Parada Waterfront: “I was in a snobby mood”
A place you go to for the view or the vibes or if your friends have organized something here. But definitely not for the food.
